Plus One Earns Top Nods for Employee Wellness

Provides Fitness Programming at Number Three on the Healthiest Companies in Bay Area List

San Francisco, CA, October 12, 2011 – In keeping with their mission of providing world-class fitness and wellness services to keep clients healthy, Plus One is proud to announce its position as fitness provider to Safeway Inc. one of the top three Healthiest Companies in the Bay Area. The list, released by the San Francisco Business Times, was compiled through surveying over 100 companies about their employee wellness programs. Plus One operates the employee fitness centers and provides wellness programming at Safeway, which represents the third healthiest company in the 2,000-plus employee category.

The Business Times noted what Plus One has built its reputation on: It is in a company’s best interest to keep their employees happy, healthy, and active. A healthy employee is a more productive employee, which is worth the investment of a comprehensive fitness and wellness program. Of the 100 self-nominated companies representing over 146,000 employees, each completed an online survey by Healthiest Employers LLC.  The results were scored, ranked, and categorized based on number of employees.
